(COMSTOR) was created in August of 1998 to strengthen, develop, and promote properties that enhance the quality of life, economic stability, and future potential of growing communities. As a student/resident of small town America, I know and understand the importance of community based businesses and their value to the local economy. When my own hometown was struggling, entrepreneurship provided me with the tools to overcome economic obstacles threatening my community. My focus became Lakeview, Ohio and the barriers that hindered it from becoming a center for commerce and development. I began to invest in infrastructure needed to support new development and façade improvements. Next, I focused on redeveloping the community’s image working to reinforce Lakeview’s core benefits. Finally, I worked on attracting quality merchants that provided jobs and traffic that complimented Lakeview’s existing businesses. Overall, the project was successful - yielding a new bank, grocery store, investment office and industrial park – all properties owned, developed, and managed by my company. The Lakeview redevelopment effort is ongoing and will continue to be an opportunity for me to learn and grow as a developer. Community Storage & Properties, Ltd.’s growth is the direct result of meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers. After working with independent small business owners I learned how difficult it is for them to promote products and services at a reasonable rate. More often than not, small businesses are shut out of the market due to the high cost of promotional advertising. To combat this problem, I have created a new business to provide marketing consulting and advertising products to assist small businesses. COMSTOR Outdoor, Ltd. is a regionally recognized advertising agency specializing in image consultation, promotional development, and advertising production and design. COMSTOR Outdoor, Ltd. operates over 70 outdoor advertising displays in west central Ohio and is a leader in advertising design and promotion. As our company grows, so does the challenge to improve what we do and how we do it. Feedback is important to me and important to my company.
